No single authority decides the best AI songs of 2026. The most useful places to look are fan-voted head-to-head leaderboards, the weekly SIQA AI music charts and the picks AI music platforms like Suno feature, and each one measures something different.
Below is what each source actually counts, where official charts stand on AI music, and a live leaderboard of the top AI hooks right now.
Is there an official list of the best AI songs?
No. No industry body publishes an official ranking of AI songs, and lists titled "best AI songs ever" are usually one writer's picks. "Best" can mean four different things, and each source in this guide captures one of them:
| What "best" means | Where it is measured | Weak spot |
|---|---|---|
| Listeners prefer it in a direct comparison | Head-to-head leaderboards | Judges the hook, not the whole song |
| It is popular | SIQA AI music charts (streams, airplay, social) | Popularity also follows marketing budgets |
| Curators picked it | Suno's home page and playlists | Selection criteria are not published |
| It sold or charted | Billboard and other official charts | New rules exclude fully AI-generated tracks |
Many pages that rank for "best AI songs" actually compare tools, not songs. If that is what you are after, see Suno vs. Udio.
Top AI songs right now: the live AI song leaderboard
HOOKFIGHTS ranks the hooks of released AI songs by blind head-to-head votes: listeners hear two choruses, vote without seeing the split, and each result moves an ELO rating that starts at 1500. These are the current top hooks in the English League, updated live:
How to read it: the number on the right is the hook's rating, and the record next to the artist shows wins and losses. A rating built over many battles means more than a high rating after two wins. New hooks move fast for their first 10 battles, and battles with few votes count for less. At launch, the roster includes hooks by Texts After Midnight and Jax Morrow, house artists produced by the team behind HOOKFIGHTS; they follow the same rules and get no extra votes.

AI music charts: the SIQA Top 100 AI songs
The SIQA AI Music Charts come from the Sonic Intelligence Academy, an independent organization that tracks how AI is used in music. Its flagship is a Top 100 AI songs chart, and at the time of writing its charts page also lists Top 20 charts for AI R&B, country and gospel songs.
- What it counts: 50% streams and airplay, 50% "social impact." SIQA names Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube for listening, TikTok and Instagram Reels for social engagement, and Shazam for discovery.
- When it updates: every Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
- Who can chart: publicly released songs that are AI-generated or AI-assisted, submitted for free through SIQA's registry. Unauthorized AI recreations of a real voice or likeness can be disqualified.
- Limits: SIQA relies on creator declarations, platform policies and industry signals, and says it does not independently verify every track or run exhaustive copyright checks.
The SIQA chart answers "which AI songs are getting traction?" That is a different question from "which AI song do listeners prefer?", so it pairs well with a head-to-head leaderboard. SIQA also presents the AI Music Awards, with a ceremony in Los Angeles on November 13, 2026; our AI music contests guide covers the awards you can still enter.
Best Suno songs: where Suno features popular tracks
Suno is where many AI songs start, so its own picks are a natural place to look for popular Suno songs. According to Suno's help center, a song only appears on the creator's profile, becomes searchable and can be featured in playlists on Suno's home page once the creator sets it to Public. Only public songs are eligible for curated playlists and the new music area.
Two caveats apply. Suno does not publish how its home page and playlist picks are chosen, so a feature is an editorial or algorithmic choice, not a vote you can check. And a song can be popular inside Suno without ever being released on streaming services.
Why streaming playlists rarely list the best AI songs
Search Spotify or Deezer for the best AI songs and you will mostly find user-made playlists, because both services now keep AI-labeled music out of their own recommendations:
- Spotify began showing an AI Persona badge in mid-September 2026 on artist profiles whose identity may be AI-generated. By default, AI Personas are excluded from editorial and algorithmic recommendations unless a listener follows them, and Spotify says its editors do not program content it identifies as slop or spam.
- Deezer says songs it detects as AI-generated are automatically removed from algorithmic recommendations and are not included in editorial playlists.
So a user playlist called "best AI songs" reflects one person's taste, and the absence of AI songs from editorial playlists says nothing about their quality. For the release rules on Spotify, see is AI music allowed on Spotify.
Can AI songs chart on Billboard and official charts?
Some have, mostly on smaller sales and genre charts. In November 2025, Billboard counted at least six AI or AI-assisted artists that had debuted on its charts in the preceding months. Xania Monet became the first known AI artist to debut on a Billboard radio chart, Adult R&B Airplay. "Walk My Walk," credited to Breaking Rust, topped Country Digital Song Sales; in the tracking week ending November 6, 2025 it sold more than 2,000 copies, while the top seller on Billboard's all-genre Digital Song Sales chart sold 29,000.
Rules are tightening in 2026:
- IFPI, the global recording industry body, published principles on July 30, 2026: a recording made with generative AI should qualify for official charts only if the AI service is properly authorized and lawful, the track is "substantially human made," and it raises no stream or chart manipulation concerns. IFPI applies them to the charts it manages and is rolling them out through its national groups in many other countries.
- ARIA, Australia's chart body, adopted its own rule from the chart dated August 31, 2026: wholly AI-generated tracks are no longer eligible, while recordings that use generative AI in a supporting role still are.
For fully AI-generated songs, that leaves dedicated AI charts and fan-voted leaderboards as the main places where they are ranked at all.
How to find the best AI songs yourself
Charts and lists are a starting point. To decide which AI songs are the best for you, a few simple checks help:
- Start with the hook. Skip to the first chorus. If it does not stay with you after one listen, the rest of the song has to work much harder.
- Compare two at a time. Choosing between two songs is easier and more honest than scoring one out of 10.
- Look for disclosure. Prefer songs whose creators label them as AI-made, and skip anything that imitates a real singer's voice.
- Check the sample size. A rank backed by many votes or streams is more reliable than one viral spike.
- Listen again tomorrow. Replay value is what separates a novelty from a song you keep.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best AI song of 2026?
There is no agreed answer, because no industry body ranks AI songs. Check a fan-voted leaderboard for listener preference and the weekly SIQA AI charts for popularity, then trust your own ears.
Is there a chart just for AI songs?
Yes. The SIQA AI Music Charts rank AI-generated and AI-assisted songs every Tuesday, scoring 50% streams and airplay and 50% social impact.
Have AI songs been on the Billboard charts?
Yes, mainly on sales and genre charts. In November 2025 Billboard counted at least six AI or AI-assisted artists on its charts, and Xania Monet became the first known AI artist on a Billboard radio chart.
How does the HOOKFIGHTS leaderboard rank AI songs?
Hooks from released AI songs battle head to head, listeners vote blind, and each result moves an ELO rating that starts at 1500. Battles with more votes and clearer margins move ratings more.
Where can I find popular Suno songs?
On Suno itself, public songs can be featured in home page and curated playlists, though Suno does not publish how picks are made. Leaderboards that accept any released AI song are another place to find them.
