HOOKFIGHTS launches: daily battles between AI song hooks

HOOKFIGHTS, a website where the hooks of released AI-generated songs battle head to head and listeners vote, launched on October 28, 2026. Its first season started the same day, with new battles dropping every day at 18:00 UTC.

What HOOKFIGHTS is

Each battle pairs two hooks: the chorus of a released AI song, cut to 15–30 seconds and loudness-matched so neither side wins on volume. Listeners hear both, pick the one they prefer and see the result only after voting. Every battle stays open for 24 hours, and every hook carries a rating that rises and falls with its results.

The site is built for AI music. Every entry is a released AI-generated song with an AI-disclosure label, and voice clones, real artists' names and real artists' likenesses are not allowed.

How voting works

  • Blind: the vote split appears only after you vote, and each listener gets one vote per battle.
  • Listen-to-vote: voting unlocks only after both hooks have played for a few seconds, and the server checks this too.
  • Fraud checks: votes from hosting and cloud networks, votes cast faster than anyone could listen and bursts from a single network are set aside and not counted. Final tallies show how many votes were removed.
  • Ratings: every hook starts at an ELO rating of 1500. Clear margins move ratings more than narrow ones, and battles with few votes count for less.

Season one and the language leagues

The first season began on October 28, 2026. A season runs 28 days of ladder battles, one drop per day. After that, the top four hooks by rating, among those with at least three rated battles, meet in a single-elimination bracket, one round per daily drop. Once a league has 16 or more hooks, the playoff grows to eight. Ratings carry over between seasons.

Songs only battle songs in the same language. The English League is live now and is the default on the site. Balkan, Latin, German, French and Lusophone leagues will open as their first hooks are approved.

The launch roster

The opening battles feature hooks by Texts After Midnight and Jax Morrow, house artists produced by the team behind HOOKFIGHTS. They play under the same rules as every other entry and get no extra votes. Hooks from other artists join the same leagues as they are approved.

How to enter

Entering is free. An artist uploads the released song, picks the hook in the browser, and adds the cover art, a release link and an AI-disclosure label. A person reviews every entry, usually within 48 hours, and each network can submit up to three entries per day. Entries start on the Enter page.

Artists can promote their battles with Card Studio, which makes 9:16 battle cards for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

Where to vote

Today's battles are on the home page, the current standings are on Rankings, and the season and playoff picture is on the bracket page. The full rules are on the Seasons & Rules page, and our guide to AI music battles explains the format in more detail.
